Production Worker
Job Title: Production WorkerReports to: Winemaker, C.O.O
Job Overview: Ongoing desire to learn about, excel in and contribute to an environment designed to make world class quality wines.
Full-time: (40 hours/week average).
Hourly wage commensurate with experience.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Assist the Winemaker and Assistant Winemaker with all spects related to the grape and wine process. Receiving grapes, crushing, fermentation, filtration, stabilization, blending, bottling, and finishing of wines
- Must be willing and able to learn about and perform maintenance and operation of bottling line and crush equipment as well as pumps, other machinery, chilling/heating systems, filters, and various other physical winery infrastructure and systems
- Assist the chemist with the SO2 program
- Maintain and supervise a clean and hazard-free wine cellar
- Assist the Assistant Winemaker with work orders dealing with cellar operations
All other duties as deemed necessary for the successful operation of the winery
Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience in the wine/vineyard industry
- Solid work ethic and desire to accomplish tasks in a given period of time
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Knowledge and ability in the following areas: Mechanics, Electrical, HVAC, Computers, Hydraulics, Plumbing
